If a payment doesn’t go through, there are a few common things to check first.
Make sure the account you’re using has enough available funds to cover the full payment amount. If you’re paying with a debit card, be sure to include the convenience fee associated with the transaction as well.
If you tried to use a savings or money market account, your bank may have rejected the payment. These are considered non‑transactional accounts and often have limits on withdrawals or payment activity.
Credit cards are not an accepted form of payment.
CreditStrong payments must come from existing funds, such as a checking account or debit card. Using credit to pay a credit obligation does not reduce overall debt and is more like shifting the balance from one lender to another, rather than making a true payment.
If you’re not sure why your payment was rejected, your bank may be able to provide more details about why the transaction failed.
Please note that returned or failed payments may result in a fee, depending on the situation.
