Overview
If your account is reporting but something doesn’t look right, like the balance, payment history, or status, start by checking your Customer Portal. The portal shows the most up-to-date information we have on your account.
Sometimes the change you're expecting simply hasn't been reported yet. CreditStrong reports on a monthly schedule, so recent updates may take time to appear on your credit report.
What to do if something looks wrong
If, after checking your portal, you believe there is a real error:
- Contact CreditStrong first
- We’ll review your account and confirm whether the information is accurate
- If a correction is needed, we’ll let you know the best next step
Starting with us often leads to faster resolution than going directly to the credit bureaus.
About disputing credit report information
A credit dispute is a formal request to a credit bureau to correct inaccurate information on your credit report.
Disputes are meant to fix true errors, such as:
- Incorrect balances
- Payments marked late when they were made on time
- Incorrect account statuses
Disputes are not intended to remove accurate but unfavorable information, such as a valid late payment.
Please avoid filing disputes if the information is correct. Unnecessary disputes can delay updates, slow your credit‑building progress, or create additional account reviews.
Our goal
Our goal is to make sure your CreditStrong account is reported accurately and completely.
If there is a genuine reporting error, we’re here to help correct it. If the information is accurate, we’ll help explain what you’re seeing and when you can expect updates.
If you’re unsure whether something is an error, reach out to our Support Team and we’ll walk through it with you!
