Overview
CreditStrong Revolv is a subscription which includes a secured revolving line of credit designed to help lower your credit utilization and support credit building.
Revolv is not a credit card and cannot be used for purchases. It is designed specifically for credit‑building purposes.
How Revolv works
When you open a Revolv account, Austin Capital Bank extends a secured revolving line of credit that is reported at 0% utilization.
This increases your total available revolving credit, which can help lower your overall utilization rate, an important factor in most credit scoring models.
Optional monthly savings plans
In addition to the subscription, Revolv allows you to set a custom, optional monthly savings payment.
When a monthly savings plan is active:
- Funds are advanced from your Revolv credit line to your linked savings account
- A balance is created on the revolving line
- You make a monthly payment toward that balance
- 100% of each payment goes into your savings account
- Advances are interest‑free
These monthly payments add usage and payment history to the revolving line, which can strengthen the credit‑building impact of the account.
Important to note: Monthly savings plans create a required minimum monthly payment on your Revolv credit line. While monthly savings plans are optional, once set up, payments must be made on time. Missing a required payment may result in a delinquency being reported to the credit bureaus, which could harm your credit score.
Credit limit increases
If you make three consecutive on‑time savings payments, your Revolv credit limit becomes eligible for an increase!
The minimum monthly payment required to unlock credit limit increases depends on your subscription level. Over time, this allows your Revolv account to grow toward its maximum credit limit.
Changing Subscription Plans
Once a Revolv subscription has been started, users cannot change subscription plans. Once your initial subscription fee has been paid you may open a second Revolv account from your Customer Portal.
If you've signed up for a Revolv account and would like to change to another plan, our Support Team is happy to help you understand your options!
Important things to keep in mind
- Revolv is designed to build credit, not to provide spending power
- Monthly savings payments are optional and can be adjusted if your account is current
- Consistent, on‑time payments provide the most benefit over time
