Overview
PastDue Defender helps protect your account from becoming past due.
PastDue Defender is an optional feature that can automatically use available excess funds from your locked savings account as a backup payment method if a scheduled payment is missed. This can give you extra time to catch up while helping prevent further delinquency.
PastDue Defender does not replace regular payments. It is designed as a short‑term safety net.
Eligibility
PastDue Defender is available for:
- Revolv accounts
- Consumer installment accounts
PastDue Defender is not available for CreditStrong Business accounts.
This feature works by applying excess or overcollateralized funds from the linked savings account toward a past‑due payment, when available.
Enrollment and settings
New customers are automatically enrolled in PastDue Defender when the feature is available for their account type.
If you opened your account before PastDue Defender was introduced, or if you previously turned it off, you can manage your settings at any time:
- Log in to your Customer Portal
- Select the account you want to manage
- Choose PastDue Defender
Your status will display as:
- Activated (shown in green), or
- Deactivated (shown in red)
PastDue Defender for Revolv Accounts
For Revolv accounts with PastDue Defender enabled:
- The feature triggers when a payment reaches 25 days past due, as long as there are sufficient cleared funds in your Revolv Savings Account
- When PastDue Defender activates, your monthly savings payment is automatically set to $0, pausing your optional monthly payments
- You can log in at any time to restart monthly payments when you’re ready
Pausing payments does not close the account and does not remove the need to bring the account current.
Past Due Defender for Installment Accounts
For consumer installment accounts with PastDue Defender enabled:
- The feature triggers when a payment is 14 days past due
- Funds are applied from your Excess Savings Balance
Your Excess Savings Balance is the difference between:
- The amount held in your locked collateral savings account, and
- The remaining balance owed on your loan
Unlike Revolv accounts, PastDue Defender does not pause installment account activity.
If available excess funds are fully used and payments remain past due, the account will continue through standard delinquency and automatic closure processes.
Important things to keep in mind
- PastDue Defender only works if sufficient excess funds are available
- It is not guaranteed to prevent late reporting or account closure
- Regular, on‑time payments are still the best way to protect your account and credit
