Short answer
No. CreditStrong accounts cannot be temporarily suspended or deactivated.
That said, your options depend on the type of account you have!
Installment accounts
Installment accounts require regular monthly payments throughout the term of the loan.
If you’re unable to continue making consistent payments, the best option may be to close your account and consider opening a new one when the timing is better for you. Closing early does not prevent you from reapplying in the future.
We understand that life circumstances change, and closing an account can sometimes be the most responsible choice.
Revolv accounts
Revolv works a bit differently.
Monthly savings payments on Revolv are optional and can be adjusted in your Customer Portal.
- If your account is current, you can change your monthly payment amount, including setting it to $0, to take a break from monthly payments
- If your account is past due, you’ll need to bring it current before you can adjust the payment amount
Keeping a Revolv account open with a $0 monthly payment allows you to continue receiving the benefit of having an open revolving line reported on your credit profile.
If you’re unsure what to do
If you’re feeling stretched or worried about upcoming payments, acting early gives you more flexibility.
