Overview
Yes. You can build credit with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
CreditStrong reports your account and payment history to the three major credit bureaus using your ITIN instead of a Social Security number.
How credit reporting works with an ITIN
Your CreditStrong account is reported to the credit bureaus using the identification number you provided during your application. If you applied with an ITIN, that ITIN is used for reporting.
One important difference to be aware of is how you access your credit reports and scores. Many online credit‑monitoring tools are designed for SSNs only.
If you want to request your credit report or score using an ITIN, the bureaus typically require a written request by mail.

- It may take longer to access reports or scores, especially online
- Consistent, on‑time payments matter just as much, regardless of which identifier you use
