Where We Report Your Business Credit
Equifax Business
In addition to personal credit reporting, Equifax is a major provider of business credit data. Your CreditStrong account is reported using the Equifax Business Delinquency Financial Score, which reflects both your business and principal credit information.
PayNet
PayNet is a financial tradeline-focused bureau used primarily by lenders and leasing institutions. It was acquired by Equifax in 2019 but still operates independently. The main scoring model is the PayNet MasterScore, which ranges from 500 to 800. If your business has no credit history with PayNet, your score may show as “null.”
Experian Business
Experian provides business credit reports similar to personal credit reports, focusing on a company’s payment history and financial obligations.
Small Business Financial Exchange (SBFE)
SBFE is a data exchange, not a traditional bureau, which shares business credit data between lenders. Only financial institutions and other credit originators can access SBFE data through certified vendors.
When We Report
We report account activity monthly, typically during the first calendar week of each month. Your account will be reported for the first time after your first successful loan payment is made.
Example: If your account opens on March 15 and your first payment is due April 15, your account will be reported during the first week of May.
Viewing Your Score in the Customer Portal
Why You Might Not See Your Account on a Report
- Business name, address, or owner details do not match bureau records
- A business credit file has not yet been created
- The bureau has not completed processing the update
- Your CreditStrong account
- Secretary of State records
- The credit bureau’s records
Verifying Your Account with Equifax Business
If enough time has passed and your information is correct, you can contact Equifax Business to request a manual account verification. This is not a dispute, it is a request for Equifax to locate and confirm the account.
Tip: When contacting Equifax, be sure to mention you are looking for a Financial Tradeline, not a Vendor Tradeline.
To help Equifax locate your account, be ready to provide:
The full business name used on your CreditStrong account
The business account number
The reporting address on file (this may differ from your operating address)
Proof of Reporting
- This confirms that CreditStrong submitted reporting
- It does not guarantee that the bureau has added the account to your credit file
